雄安新区启动区30平方公里 规划设计将向全球招标

Hebei province announced last Wednesday it would call for international bids to plan and design Xiongan New Area.

河北省于上周三宣布，雄安新区规划和设计将面向全球招标。

Global companies are welcomed to bid with their ideas for a 30 sq km area at initial stage, said Niu Jingfeng, deputy director of Xiongan New Area preparatory committee.

雄安新区筹委会副主任牛景峰称，启动区共30平方公里，欢迎全球企业携方案竞标。

Niu told a press conference that the committee had organized top talent in drafting the plans for the new area and a competition would be organized for design ideas.

牛景峰在一个新闻发布会上表示，筹委会已组织一流人才进行新区规划编制工作，并将组织一次设计方案竞赛。

The area has had tight controls on land resources, household registration, house sales and construction since last June to restrict speculation, Niu said.

牛景峰表示，自去年六月限制投机炒作起，该地区已经对土地资源、房屋销售和建设进行了严格的控制。

Neighboring counties, cities and districts also have similar control measures since April 1, when plans for Xiongan New Area were announced.

在雄安新区规划发布之后，自4月1日起，周边的县、市、区也有类似的控制措施。

The new area, some 100 km southwest of Beijing, will eventually cover 2,000 sq km, with a population of 2 to 2.5 million. It is expected to help transfer Beijing's non-capital functions.

雄安新区距北京西南约100公里，最终建成面积将达2000平方公里，拥有人口200万到250万。它将承载北京的非首都功能。
